It's a story that repeats itself every 15 or 20 years. McDonald's executives (with no restaurant experience or knowledge) desperately want to be considered "restauranteurs." With other people's money and tons of excess real estate, they make a lot of mistakes.

Walls are closing in on the executive leadership team. Let’s see if the n f l a steps up in Denver.
NFLA step up????? ROFLMAO. Feckless cowards
The company should take the best selling CosMcs items (like savory hashbrown bits , and thetop selling drinks) and transplant them into our McDonalds stores. That would make the CosMcs "experiment" a success, and give our stores hot new items.
Will upper management ever admit it was a failure? Will we ever get a refund or credit for all the money they sunk into Cosmcs?
Refund? That's what I meant by "Other Peoplle's Money", OPM. There's no risk on manaagment's part. If things go reallly bad they can always take a "special charge" so it doesn't impact reported earnings.

Really ??? you call Chris and the entire SLT restauranteurs ? They have not a clue what it takes to run a restaurant. Their only model is McKinsey to move costs to us and tell us they are in charge. GMA giving our food away and McValue locking in price to demonstrate they are in charge by price fixing. Yeah Joe and Kris you figured a way to lower the menu pricing for the US market , just like you stated to the shareholders. The CosMcs again shows how the Owner/Operators spend a incredible amount of money to build McCafe brand for McDonald's to take all the profit from retail and give us BS equipment that we cannot even use now. Will the NFLA and OPNAD finally say STOP and push back?? Only hope as we are watching our equity and brand take hits daily without and true push back from our leadership. Sad days in McDonald Land.
Please reread my post. I said they "desperately want to be considered "restauranteurs". As you say, they are not fooling anyone. This is why a guy like the CEO downsizes the company with the intention of getting rid of the execs who know more about the business than he can ever learn. Then he brings in a crew of DEI hires and new BOD memebers who make him look like he invented the "McFamily".
.
Interesting point above. Is OPNAD price fixing? After all, if you dont go along with an OPNAD promo, you catch he!! from corp!
Richard...Sorry I did mis-read the statement. The system is in real danger from the SLT and our Owner Operator Leadership. When the SLT ignores the Owner Operator Leadership and continue to push a false narrative to appease shareholders, destruction of our brand will continue. The board is made up of people that reap benefit of bad leadership at the cost of the Owner Operators. Sad days in McDonald Land. Threats against our licenses for discussing alternative ideas is a cancer that will be fatal for the system.
Trying to build another brand off the backs of McDs Operators sweat equity and keep them in the dark about it is unforgivable
