"In an internal email last week to U.S. employees and some international staff, McDonald's asked them to work from home from Monday through Wednesday so it can deliver staffing decisions virtually, the report said. It is unclear how many employees will be laid off."
Remember when good management meant looking someone in the eye when firing them?
Apparently, this is how woke pajama boys do things. It must be part of ESG, or DEI?

CLASSY
And then the CEO will circulate memos boasting about his "values" -
spoken by the man who has terminated more McDonald's careers than anyone in system history.
.
But those who are fired today should get some solace from the fact that McDonald's stock price is at a record high.
Chris K. has none of the values he pitches with his Leadership Team. They are only about ensuring their retirement is higher at the expense of the employees. This leadership over time has turned over more employees then in the history of this system. Record Sales, and profits lead to downsizing the staff. What a wonderful motivational demonstration of the leadership style of the McKinsey Group. Interesting that the planned McD in DC was canceled by the corporation with fears of the Owner/Operators maybe having a different view of legal challenges. Maybe the Owner Operator Groups need to cancel their thought on going to Las Vegas for the meeting in October, as we do not have faith in the ability of McDonald's Leadership to demonstrate their so-called Values. Chris K., Joe E. and the entire SLT need to get a call dismissing them this week.
To the individual that stated get some solace about the stock price. That solace will not feed their families.

AMEN
The DC trip was cancelled and MCD fired its internal government relations people.
Layoffs = Improved Profitability = Higher Stock Price = Happy CEO/Board/Stockholders
"Solace" comment was just being facetious.
