It should be made clear that the company is speaking only for its company stores. Not the operators. Also, not addressed is the impact on compression wages.
Ed Rensi's reputation was just as bad as the current crop of execs, maybe even worse. At the end, he had no credibility with the Operators and was forced to leave the system.
This announcement was a Giant middle finger to owners. Think about it. MCD talked to no other NRA or IFA members about this back stab to their own franchisees and their peers in the industry, and THEY DID IT WHILE NOA MEMBERS WERE Meeting and lobbying IN WASHINGTON DC!!!!
It was no accident that they made the announcement while NOA members were in Co gressional offices advocating for the opposite things.
They will NEVER play nice with NOA despite their words to leadership. Time to get tough.
What exactly is Robert Gibbs role within McDonald’s? I know he loves lying to the public. But what is his job responsibilities that he is being paid for with McDonald’s Corp?
From the beginning, I've assumed that his is a "no-show" job and he was hired more for who he knows than for what he does.
Keep in mind the announcement of his hiring was made in June of 2015 after he'd spent many years working for Obama and the Obama administration. Hillary Clinton had announced her presidential candidacy in April and Donald Trump would announce in June. The world was convinced Clinton would be the next POTUS as evidenced by foreign government donations to the Clinton Foundation.
He was hired for his connections and influence inside the second Clinton presidency.
What he contributes to the company today? I have no idea. .

I remember Rensi and he wasn't perfect but at least he understood our business. Unlike the over educated nitwits now running the U.S.
