Loooonnnggg time McDer. Phasing out Polystyrene is fine with me. The lids have never fit. The lids don't fit in the lid dispensers. They are the number one cause of spills. If you squeeze them trying to get them out of the car holders (they fit too tight).. they crack and spill. Hope we keep the size, but otherwise this is a no-big-deal.

I wont miss polystyrene cups. And they cost more than paper. BUT I do miss the polystyrene Clamshell sandwich cartons. Especially in the age of delivery, they can keep the sandwich HOT.
I dont expect the Oak Brook pajama boys to agree though.

This is a HUGE deal in the South. My customer liked it because of the cups not sweating on hot days. I am not looking forward to all the complaints.

Agree w/previous post. I predict massive drink sales decline. People down here don’t give a crap about what some hipster thinks and the aren’t looking for things that make them more carbon neutral. The give a crap about things that matter like getting to work on time and they don’t want their damn cup sweating all over the pickup.

They WILL go elsewhere, price isn’t even relevant. We could give drinks away and they’ll still buy drinks in styrofoam cups.

Stupid. But someone sure feels good about themselves in Chicago, where ice is only added to the line about 3” from the bottom of the cup.

We once had a field consultant raise Cain during a full field, so we did as he demanded and let him handle customers coming back inside. He thought we were doing it for food cost. New rule didn’t last long.

The only what upset is Jan Fields that was the last her baby's; who knows in another 5 years when Chris K is gone the south east franchisees might get it back.

To anonymous above- You are assuming that in 5 years there will be any viable franchisees left!
