McDonald's spokeswoman: “Robust lines of communication already exist between the board, management, and franchisees, and all stakeholders are able to communicate directly with the board.”
“Robust lines of communication already exist between the board, management, and franchisees, and all stakeholders are able to communicate directly with the board.”
Translation: "We tell the owner/operators what to do and they hop right to it, or they don't get renewed."
Time to organize like the Tim Hortons franchise owners are doing.
Just try to communicate directly with the MCD Board. One, they wouldn't listen to anything that did not come through management. Two, any attempt to go directly to the board would be circumvented by both regional and top management. If the board really knew what goes on in the regions they would be shocked but powerless to take corrective action. Bland statements like this from a MCD spokesperson is demeaning..

ROBUST LINES ???? Are you kidding me ?? The NLC is an inept rubber stamp, and top execs NEVER listen to the field !!!
