When McDonald's moved to Oak Brook it was a young company with a fresh, suburban mission. Today it's all grown up - urban and corporate - people don't really matter.

No doubt Ray and Fred had their young staffers in mind when they left LaSalle St.

Lots of talk about "reinvention" at McDonald's, kind of like how Chrysler reinvented Plymouth or how General Motors reinvented Oldsmobile.

Easterbrook wants to leave a Safer environment, with buildings already built, developed and staff for our needs. To go to a unsafe environment (Killing Zone), where property has be developed, buildings have to be built and money wasted because money is always wasted on building projects. So instead of concentrating on making the business better he and his staff will be worring about this Boondoggle and wasting MONEY like it is going out of style. Make All the sense to me. Time for him to retire.

The $15/hr protesters won't need gas money to get to the new HQ.

Just walk up and get their normal hourly rate in cash.
