McD is closing the accounting center in Columbus OH and the accounting department out of Oak Brook. All future accounting will be outsourced to India as part of Easterbrooks G&A cuts. Effective end of June
There's a pattern here - when McDonald's gets a CEO who does not have an operations background the CEO tends to try to get rid of the long term employees who understand what happens in the stores. It's all about reinvention and they can't reinvent if the department heads and field people know more about the business than the CEO.
So when will I expect the email about reduction of service fees? With so many "services" being force out, what the hell am I paying for? The new kids they will bring in will have absolutely no relationship to the restaurants or the owners. Some have said that they welcome new thinking, but they will have no perspective. You think home office is an ivory tower now? Just wait.

Less parking means more old time high paid staffers working in Oak Brook will leave the company.
