California State Senate just passed new minimum wage bill: $11/hr. by Jan.1,2016 and $13/hr. by Jan.1,2017. I guess that means that McOpCo will be at $12/hr. and then $14/hr. And then in Los Angeles, McOpCo will be at $16/hr. by 2020. No wonder they're getting out of the restaurant business. Smart move.
They are focused on automating the customer interaction with ordering kiosks when they should also be focused on automating the back of the house. McDonald's was built on consistancy. Think of how consistent a burger and fries made by a robot would be. Hot, fresh and juicy every time. No waste, no over holding, no mistakes, smaller kitchen footprint. It can be done.
