What happened to simplifying operations? .

Much talk (hopefully more than talk) from Operators on the way out of the Summit. Plan to have operators pay rent & service fees at the last minute or even late to impact MCD cash flow if the Corp raises wages to $9 in McOpCo stores. Also other forms of "legal disobedience " to negatively impact MCD in the event of a wage surrender.
All well and true. Breakfast, as we run it, gives a somewhat smooth, if hectic transition. It has been a success since Herb Patterson introduced the EggMC in CA all those years ago. Another example of what happens when you put the business into the hands of kids who never saw the inside of a restaurant until they were put in charge of a huge system, advertising people who never have any idea of what it takes to implement their ideas and dissident shareholders. The Camel's back has a finite weight limit, beyond which everybody loses. Unfortunately, no one outside the OO community understands this. Something is going to have to give and it will not be pretty.
Mike stated in the Think Tank, the Rent & Service Fee model is NOT broken. So don't look for that to ever change. Their might be some tweaking like GM's having some $'s to help but that is about it.
I thought their would be more outrage coming out of The Turnaround Summit. I do not have any confidence that this thing will be turned around in the next 2 years after attending, much less with this group of leaders.
At sometime we the operators are going to have to Shout enough is enough. I have spent 45 years as crew, O/O Mgmt, Corporate Staff & O/O. It seems to only get worse with each pasting day.
We need a Turnaround TODAY not 5 yrs down the road. Why can we not get leaders that are inspiring to the O/O's. Like cut the Service fee & OpNad Fee by .5% each for 24 months, to be used for putting more labor on the floor and doing something big in the O/O's marketplace or CoOp?
It is time for a Radical Change to Turn this "Thang Around".
1. About the 100 to 150K for build a burger. What about the stores with lower that average sales, like 1.5 million?
we will not be able to afford it.
2. Someone posted McDonslds was raising minimum wage in their stores. I am surrounded by several McCpCo stores that will be a killer as well. What is the outlook for this rumor?
The turn around summit was just like the world wide just a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Lost a few grand in travel and time as well. Other operators that I was with felt the same way.
At at 5 Guys today. 20.00 for 2 of us. Busier than ---- Probably ran a 800 hour, with 5 crew. I probably would need 12 or 13.
Maybe all of us need a meeting so we can come together. SORRY THAT JUST HAPPENED, MY BAD.

Cutting franchise fees to corporate reduces shareholder income. Who's the priority?
If this happens it proves that Andres has no idea what he's doing. He left Logan's Roadhouse in terrible shape.
