“Cash flow continues to shrink. Oak Brook continues to shift and add costs to the operators P&L. ACA (Obamacare) will take another big chunk. Minimum wage will add $20,000 to $40,000 in new expenses. These dollars don‟t exist in the operators‟ checkbook today. In the face of all this financial pressure Oak Brook continues to force new debt and force mindless discounting. I think a major revolt is in order but most operators don‟t have the courage for it.”
Someday the McDonald‟s menu will be simplified. But probably not until it‟s too late. Few people on the McDonald's corporate side understand what‟s going on in the restaurants.
