I don't think it would kill jobs. Why is it that every time a minimum wage hike is proposed in any country, people come out claiming that it will kill jobs?
Business owners need to be realistic and pay people a living wage.
The minimum wage and a "living wage" are two different things. The minimum wage is for entry level or very low skilled people. No one will ever be able to buy a home or raise a family on minimum wage because it's inflationary.
When the minimum goes up the cost of living follows. Only the unions benefit from an increase.
